The Domain

In the middle of Mâconnais area, in the south of Burgundy, Gandines vineyard is exploited by the DANANCHET family. Great white wines of Burgundy are our specialty. We enjoy the diversity and the complexity of our Terroir, and we are passionate about the Chardonnay.

Domaine des Gandines was created by Joseph DANANCHET in 1925. The first vineyard planted was the exceptional single vineyard called “Les Gandines”. The domain spread over only one hectare and half at this moment. In 1979, Robert DANANCHET continues the work of his father Marc DANANCHET and respects tradition, the Terroir by not using herbicides, and no chemical fertilizer. He increased the vineyard’s size and gets eight hectares. The vineyard is conducted in organic and spreads over more than ten hectares since that Benjamin DANANCHET is arrived in 2005. The domain was certified in organic in 2009. Now, Benjamin and Robert are working together with the same passion, and with a simple philosophy, to produce great wines of Chardonnay, by respecting the Terroir, the wild life and their health.
